The KV-2 (russian КВ-2), named after the Minister of Defence at the time of the introduction of the KV series, Marshal Kliment Yefremovich Voroshilov, was a Soviet heavy tank used in World War II from 1941 to 1942.
The KV-2 was developed on the chassis of the KV-1 when the Soviet General Staff demanded a tank with heavy armament to fight fortified positions and bunkers. To meet this requirement, the turret was greatly enlarged to accommodate a shortened 152 mm artillery piece. The high silhouette of the vehicle now required reinforced armour on the turret to withstand the expected heavy fire. As a result, the combat weight of the KV-2 increased to 57 tonnes and its top speed dropped to less than 30 km/h. The only Soviet variant of the KV-2 was the KV-2. The only Soviet variant of the KV-2 was the KV-2b, which was not based on the chassis of the KV-1, but on the chassis of the improved KV-1A.
The AMEWI Edition is a faithful replica on a scale of 1:16, delivered in a solid real wood box in the representative style of a natural-coloured ammunition box. RTR - Ready-To-Run. The tank has a smoke and sound function as well as a lighting system for an even more convincing experience. The firing function is by means of a push button, which can fire 6mm BB hard plastic bullets up to 15m away. The cannon can be moved up and down, all control functions are proportional and can therefore be controlled sensitively. In addition, the model has an infrared combat module, which allows duels with other tanks from this Amewi edition. In case of a direct hit by an opponent, the hit tank is visibly shaken once. The model is driven by two powerful motors that transmit their power to the drive wheels via a multi-stage metal gearbox. The gearbox is also encapsulated (covered) on the inside. All running wheels on the undercarriage are connected to the chassis with metal rockers and damped. The entire running gear (wheels) and also the chains are also made of metal. This true to original model with its olive green paint is in no way inferior to the real tank. All components are state of the art (electronics TK 7.0). With a contemporary 7.4V Li-Ion battery with 1800mAh. A suitable 220V plug charger is of course included in the set. The model has been tested for functionality before packing and a function protocol is enclosed. Delivery is in a solid wooden box with a precisely fitting polystyrene core.
